Yoga for Fibromyalgia ​
​and other chronic pain conditions

These classes include a range of practical strategies that you can take into your everyday life to manage stress, and create more comfort in your body and clarity in your mind. 

Classes will focus on developing a strong mind-body connection using gentle movement, conscious breath-work, meditation and mindfulness practises, and guided relaxation. A topic related to healing will be discussed each week, practised during the class, and reinforced with optional homework.

Key topics will include:
  • Befriending your body – the key to managing chronic pain
  • Gentle movements to release physical tension (reclined, standing, and seated postures) - learn to safely move your body in ways that promote healing
  • Mindfulness techniques to decrease stress, release unhelpful thoughts and focus the mind
  • Breathing techniques to calm the nervous system and release energy blockages
  • Meditation techniques to improve sleep quality and connect to your inner healing potential
  • Tips to improve the digestive and immune systems

*Regular attendance gives the best results as it will allow you to integrate concepts and practises from one week to the next.

Danika is an experienced Yoga Therapist, certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). She uses the holistic framework of yoga therapy, an ancient tradition of mind-body medicine, combined with modern research and the latest evidence-based techniques to promote complete health of body, mind and spirit.
