Practise from anywhere at any time
Are you ready to make lasting positive changes to your health and happiness? 
Welcome to our Yoga Therapy self-guided program, where you can connect to qualified yoga therapist: Danika Michelle and clinical exercise physiologist and nutritionist Dr. Christian Thoma. We are here to oversee all of your health related goals from managing and where possible recovering from chronic illness, restoring postural alignment and physical function, to reclaiming focus, inner peace, and harmony.  Read more about Yoga Therapy here.

Self-guided yoga therapy Program:


After a comprehensive review of your health history and goals, you will receive a personalised yoga therapy program to take home, that you can practise from anywhere at any time! Your holistic program will cover all levels of wellbeing.

Body: Recover from injuries, release physical tensions, restore optimal posture and alignment. You will receive: an individualised sequence of asana (postures) to improve mobility, flexibility and strength specific to your needs; nutrition advice based on a combination of traditional Ayurveda and modern research; and cleansing practises when appropriate.​

Breath: Restore your energy levels and vitality with tailored breath retraining and selected pranayama (breathing techniques). You will receive: breath retraining to correct and restore optimal breathing techniques; and individualised sequences of breathing techniques specific to your constitution and health needs.

Mind and emotions: Achieve calm, focus, and balance with tailored breathing practices, relaxation, and mindfulness/meditation practices. You will receive: tailored relaxation and mindfulness/meditation practises adapted specifically to your individual needs; mindfulness-based yogic counselling; and guided meditation recordings (where appropriate) for you to follow from home.

Support: We help you: find the time to incorporate these changes into your lifestyle; support you whenever you feel stuck or have any questions; guide you in building a strong foundation for your health; and motivate you to remain accountable to your goals.


How it works:

Step one: Contact us to confirm that yoga therapy is for you:
Please let me know if you would like to book a free initial call with us to ensure that yoga therapy is right for you.

Step two: Comprehensive health assessment (90 minutes): This is a face-to-face comprehensive health assessment. The session usually takes 90 minutes, and includes taking your full health history, checking vital signs, identifying your Ayurvedic constitution, checking your posture and movement, and discussing your health goals.   

Step three: Receive your personalised yoga therapy prescription with guidance (75-90 minutes):
You will receive and be guided through your personalised yoga therapy program. The time for this will vary depending on the agreed length of your program. 

Step four:  Beginning your program: Home practise and/or continued one-on-one support with us (over 4-6 weeks):
You will then begin to practice your yoga therapy prescription for the agreed amount of time.
Many clients opt to continue seeing me for private yoga therapy sessions during this time on a fortnightly or monthly basis to help with staying motivated (see optional extras below).  


Step five: Follow-up appointment (60 minutes):
You will then meet back with me to review and track your progress, and to discuss and agree any modifications to your program going forward.  

Price:
The complete Yoga Therapy self-guided package is
$NZ 520, which includes the comprehensive health assessment, your program, the yoga therapy prescription guidance, and the follow-up appointment and first program revision.

Optional extras:
Private yoga therapy session (75-90 mins)
Private sessions provide added motivation, and help you reach your goals sooner. If you require help with motivation, we recommend booking a private yoga therapy session with us every 2-4 weeks.
The price for private yoga therapy sessions is discounted to $NZ 100 for home-based yoga therapy clients.


Revision of home-based yoga therapy program and private yoga therapy session (90 mins)
Your program will need to evolve with you. The best way to ensure it does, is to have a program revision every 8-12 weeks (unless you area already seeing us for regular private sessions). This includes a 30 minute progress discussion, a 60 minute private yoga therapy session, and a revised home-based program emailed to you following the session. 
The price for a program revision is $NZ 120.
