That’s why our yoga therapy sessions are tailored specifically to you, combining movement, breath, and mind-body awareness to restore balance and well-being.

Danika, an experienced yoga therapist, Buteyko breathing practitioner, and psychosomatic therapist, works with you one-on-one to understand your unique needs and goals. Through a holistic, trauma-informed approach, we develop a customised practice that supports not just the physical body, but also your energy, emotions, and nervous system.

Using gentle, therapeutic yoga techniques, somatic therapy, breath-work, and guided awareness, we can help with:

  • Chronic pain and tension
  • Stress, anxiety, and overwhelm

What to Expect in a Session
Your sessions may include a blend of:
  • Postural correction & therapeutic movement to restore balance in the body
  • Breath retraining to regulate the nervous system and support deep healing
  • Mindfulness & meditation to enhance self awareness and emotional well being
  • Trauma-informed techniques to gently release stored tension and stress
  • A unique blend of ancient yogic and Ayurvedic wisdom, combined with the latest health research, to create a fully individualised path toward complete wellbeing

Intake & Health Assessment:
The first step is an extensive intake process, which allows us to get to know each other, as well as gather information about your holistic health history (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual). We will also complete a structural assessment, check vital signs, identify your Ayurvedic constitution, assess your breathing patterns, and discuss your health goals.

Intake and assessment: 90 minutes | $140 NZD.

Beginning Our Sessions Together:
We will then work together over an agreed period of time to create a customised practise for you. These sessions will take into consideration your needs, preferences and experiences in response to the tools we introduce. Homework and guided meditations may also be provided.

Each session will focus on addressing all levels of health and well-being, using the eight limbs of yoga: postures (asana), breath retraining and breathing techniques (pranayama and buteyko breathing method), mindfulness (pratyahara and dharana), trauma-informed somatic practises, and guided meditation (dhyana), all tailored to your unique needs. Lifestyle practises (yamas & niyamas) will also be woven throughout our work together. All leading you to your own inner wholeness (samadhi).

Self-guided Program:
Don't have the time to meet with us regularly? Some clients prefer to meet with us for an initial consultation and receive a self-guided yoga therapy program they can do themselves from anywhere at any time. Click here to find out more about our self-guided programs.​
